We are a small, non-profit Rabbit and Guinea Pig rescue, covering the West Midlands and Worcestershire! We rehome across the UK.

Bunnies and Piggies in Need UK is run entirely by volunteers. All our bunnies and piggies are cared for in foster homes, allowing us to get to know our animals really well, enabling us to pass information on to you, so you can choose the perfect new addition to your family.

We are an ethical small animal rescue, meaning we put animal welfare first. Our ethos is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome and educate. We neuter and vaccinate all our bunnies prior to rehoming and follow the RWAF and RSPCA minimum welfare guidelines for rehoming. We neuter all male piggies prior to rehoming.

Meet Squirrel, a fun, lively and cheeky piggie. He has the most stunning brown flecks through his fur, a sows dream boar who is ready and waiting for you to welcome him into your home. All Squirrel asks is that you supply him with endless amounts of hay, kisses and girlfriends. I may not be the most confident piggie at first, but wait until I settle in and meet my new friends and start to feel safe and you’ll be rewarded with lots of entertainment.

Meet Mouse, a very cheeky chap! He’s a little charmer and rest assured it won’t take long for him to win you round. Mouse’s number one requirement for his new human is punctuality; he demands his veg at the same time every night or he will wheek at the top of his lungs! He has oodles of personality, regularly popcorning around his pen, so are you ready to welcome him into your home. He would love to be the boss of a heard of females, but as long as he has company with atleast one other female, he will be more than happy!

We are a non-profit organisation and require the kind donations off you to keep helping bunnies and piggies in need. There are many ways you can donate to our rescue. Click the pink button if you wish to donate.

Our amazon wishlist is up-to-date with items we need the most... bags of food, new toys, treats and enrichment. If you can, simply add any of the items to your basket, purchase, and it will be sent directly to us!

PayPal Donations

We currently have 50+ bunnies in our care! That is a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of vaccinations, and lots of treats! Our bunnies love their enrichment too. If you could spare a few pounds, we would be forever grateful!

Donations

With so many mouths to feed and so many animals who need enrichment, if you have any bags of food or hay, any toys, tunnels, houses etc. that you wish to donate, please email us or message our Facebook page to arrange a drop off to one of our foster homes.

Fundraising

Fancy raising some much needed funds? Maybe you want to complete a fun-run, a marathon, a triathlon, complete 10,000 steps a day for a month, swim so many miles, complete the three peak challenge, or plan on having a bake sale. Get in touch and let us know! We'd be eternally grateful.

This cute bunny is Keiren. He is one of our newbies, dad to all the babies we rescued from a nursery!

Keiren is a small lionhead cross with a dutch, who has a lovely temperament.

He is around 1-2 years old and is very friendly. Keiren is an inquisitive bunny but can be quite shy too, his fosterers are sure he will come out of his shell soon.

He is currently being fostered in the Birmingham area, and would be a suitable house or outdoor bunny, with a suitable partner!

Matcha is an adorable male bunny who is looking for a forever home. At the moment, Matcha is terrified, but our amazing foster team are working closely with him to show him he can trust them.

He is looking to be rehomed with a neutered and vaccinated female.

Troy (Grey) arrived in rescue with his mom and his siblings from other litters!

Troy is a typical young bunny who is full of energy, loves his enrichment and is a very inquisitive bunnies.

Valentine

Gorgeous Valentine is looking for his forever home. This handsome boy was found on valentines day cold, wet and very scared.

He has now blossomed into a confident, friendly outgoing boys with oodles of personality, but doesn’t like being picked up.

Valentine is missing part of his ear, which happened before he arrived in our care.

Hazel

Hazel is looking for a special home as she has had a really tough time.

Hazel was removed from a house with lots of other Rabbits by an RSPCA inspector as they were not being cared for properly.

She does have a head tilt, and has received treatment for EC. Hazel is a lovely, calm, friendly bunny who appears to take everything in her stride.

Bracken is a beautiful dutch boy, who arrived in our care from a property where breeding had gotten out of control. He is a lovely bunny who takes everything in his stride.

He is happy to take trats from his fosterer and is beginning to enjoy having some fuss too!

Bracken is fully litter trained and loves to keep his house nice and tidy.

We think Bracken would make an amazing house bunny, but he is currently living outdoors so could suit that lifestyle too!

Brambles

Brambles is back up for rehoming. This lovely girl is looking for a confident, ​outgoing male bunny to join her fun in the garden and have tasty date nights ​with piles of fresh hay!

Guava is one of our happiest, cheekiest, friendliest bunnies. Ahe regularly ​hops onto your lap during clean-outs and she loves to have lots of fuss!

Skip is a beautiful blue-eyed boy, who is very friendly and inquisitive. Skip is ​litter trained and loves to have head rubs off his foster mom!

Brian and Barbara

Brian and Barbara are the definition of chalk and cheese. Brian is the tan ​nethie and Barbara is the white lionhead. It is impossible not to love this ​adorable pair!

Brian is definitely the star of the show with his typical nethie attitude, ​always showcasing what he wants and is not to be made fun of; he is a ​mischievous boy who just loves to explore!

Barbara has the most spectacular blue eyes; she is definitely the calm to ​the storm and is so very laid back and chilled. She loves to snuggle with Brian, ​but also adores human interaction. Although this pair are nearly middle aged, ​do not be put off, as they have no signs of slowing down.

They are both great with using their litter tray and deserve a loving family ​to call their own.

They are used to living as very spoilt, free roam bunnies; could you replicate ​this in your home?

Dotty

Dotty arrived into our care after living in an indoor cage, and she hates small ​spaces. Since arriving to us, we have assessed Dotty and think she will suit a ​hands-off home to start with, where she can settle in and adjust and you ​will slowly allow her to gain your trust, so she learns not all humans are ​nasty.

Rupert and Jessica

Rupert and Jessica are a lovely pair of bunnies who arrived in our care after they were abandoned at a HMO after their owner moved out. Before we rescued them they had, had a litter of babies, but sadly they passed away. They are both very cheeky and need lots of enrichment ot keep them busy. They are both shy but do like a gentle head rub and we think after some time with our fosterer, they will come out of their shell.

Holly and Penny

Holly and Penny were born in our care when their mother arrived at the rescue pregnant. These girls are sisters!

Holly and Penny are beautiful playful bunnies who both bring endless enjoyment to their foster family, as they watch them play and explore!

They both love their food and get very excited when they know food is on the way. They both love their hay and will dive into fresh hay.

They are both confident enough to take food from their fosterer’s hand and enjoy some head rubs, but picking up needs to be kept to a minimum as they’re is not keen on this.

Holly and Penny have both been health checked by a vet, neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

May is a beautiful bunny who is very sweet and friendly, but does not like to ​be picked up, which is understandable. She is quite a large bunny in size.

Dave is a gorgeous boy who had been living on a balcony of a flat, with a cat.

Introducing this little cutie... Rodney!

Rodney is looking for a new friend after his late bun friend passed away. He ​is a sweet little bunny!

He is a quiet, timid bunny but his owner is currently trying to bring him out of ​his shell until we find him a bunny friend! He currently lives outdoors but does ​come inside too.

Beautiful Mercedes is back up for rehoming for the third time and hopefully this is the last time.

Mercedes really does desperately need a friend however due to past experience we know she needs a large breed confident neutered male bunny. Mercedes is a very affectionate bunny, how loves to groom her bunny friend however she can also be a little bossy.

She is a confident friendly girl, who will happily take treats, she does hate being picked up so will need a home where this is kept to an absolute minimum.

Leo is a lionlop who arrived in our care after being removed from a property where he wasn’t being cared for properly.

On arrival, Leo was a matted mess, to the point where he was unable to walk properly or even open his eyes.

Whilst he still isn’t looking his best (our fosterers definitely wouldn’t make good hair dressers), Leo is now much more comfortable and happier.

Leo is a confident, friendly bunny who is energetic, has an outgoing personality which is beginning to shine through.

Leo is looking for an owner who is willing to groom him regularly. He needs a wife bun to call his own and we think he would suit the house bun lifestyle!
